12 Lucky Finalists Will Meet Niki Taylor and Be Featured in CosmoGIRL! Magazine

DELRAY BEACH, Fla., Dec. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- "How do I pursue a career in modeling or acting?" This is a question often asked of high school guidance counselors by young women across the country. Each year, thousands of girls are solicited in person, mail, or even from surfing the internet with the promise of an easy road to success -- the promise of being "discovered."

"One of the main reasons we are working with CosmoGIRL! Magazine and Supermodel Niki Taylor is to address these questions and concerns about the modeling industry," says James. "In addition, the contest provides aspiring talent a safe way to explore their dreams, all while providing them with helpful information and a great opportunity ... to be featured in one of the top teen magazines in the world."

This week over 19,000 high school guidance counselors received information about the Contest along with a free four-page information pamphlet titled, "Modeling - The Things You Need To Know," written by the woman who discovered Cindy Crawford. The pamphlet includes valuable insight on getting started, how to contact and interview with an agency and most importantly, how to avoid the common pitfalls of pursuing a career in modeling.

The Contest is open to aspiring female talent, between the ages of 13 to 24. Since CosmoGIRL! is an All-American girl's magazine, there are no height or size requirements to register. The deadline for entry into the contest is December 31, 2005. As a bonus, every entrant who completes the registration process will be entitled to receive their own personalized Model Pre-Paid MasterCard(R) card.

The 12 finalists will be selected as the winners by a panel of industry experts working with CosmoGIRL! Magazine. They will be flown to South Beach Miami and staying at the new, hip, stylish Catalina Hotel. During their 5-day working photo shoot and production, the finalists will receive a Model's makeover at the prestigious Ici Domani Spa and participate in a professional photo shoot that will appear in the August Back-To-School issue of CosmoGIRL! Magazine. The finalists will also meet Niki Taylor and compete to win a $50,000 modeling contract with Niki's agency, PLANIT m.
