Neutrogena(R) Sun Fresh(TM) Names Mr. & Miss Sun Fresh(TM) Miami 2008

MIAMI BEACH, Fla., July 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Neutrogena(R) Sun Fresh(TM), the elite line of sunless tanners offering a fresh new approach to maintaining summer color, hosted the premier Mr. & Miss Sun Fresh(TM) Miami 2008 competition during Miami's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim (July 18-21) at The Raleigh Hotel.  Two local winners were granted the coveted titles of Mr. & Miss Sun Fresh(TM) Miami 2008.

Celebrity fashion and beauty industry leaders served as judges and chose winners based on their sunless coloring and use of Sun Fresh(TM).  Hispanic television personality and host of the Miss Universe 2008 pageant, Poncho de Anda served as the master of ceremonies. The judges included: Rodner Figueroa, Univision's fashion correspondent, who was recently named one of People en Espanol's 50 Most Beautiful People; Maria Francisca Rocha, People en Espanol's fashion and beauty director; and Irene Marie, former fashion model and prestigious model agency founder of Irene Marie Models.

"The Neutrogena(R) Mr. & Miss Sun Fresh(TM) Miami 2008 competition demonstrates that the perfect sun-inspired glow is obtainable without exposure to dangerous UV rays," said Leila Meresman, Director of Public Relations for Neutrogena(R).  "Miami's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim is the perfect forum to inform people about healthier options to obtain a sun-kissed look -- after all, the best fashion accessory is healthy, beautiful skin."

Sergio Menezes, 32, a Brazilian native was dubbed Mr. Sun Fresh(TM).  As a man that's always on the go, he loves the convenience and natural look Sun Fresh(TM) offers him.

Maridelie Diaz, 24, of Puerto Rico was named Miss Sun Fresh(TM).  She loves looking naturally bronzed, but is really aware of the damages overexposure to the sun causes and loves the fact that Sun Fresh(TM) offers a safe and natural tan.

The Mr. & Miss Sun Fresh(TM) Miami 2008 competition was open to local Miami residents who were selected based on a questionnaire.  Prior to the competition, contestants were asked to use one of two formulations of Sun Fresh(TM) -- lotion or foam -- ranging from fair to deep skin shades.

Guests attending the competition learned about the importance of protecting their skin from the harmful affects of the sun, while still achieving a healthy sun-kissed glow, and were given product samples.  Sun Fresh(TM) products feature an ultra-light formula that infuses skin with sheer, natural looking color and comes in a fresh citrus scent, with notes of grapefruit and nectarine.
