WASHINGTON, June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Politics and fashion met at the Willard Hotel when The Little Shoebox unveiled its spring selection in front of a select niche of power players. Emilie Blaze and Janie Griffin, founders of The Little Shoebox, entertained a "who's who" of women in Washington with a private gallery unveiling and opinion-seeking session. "We house a gallery of designer shoes for the fashion forward woman," says Griffin. "We are coming to Washington, DC to introduce ourselves to the elite women of power, and we know these are the women who help influence the purchasing power of other women." Emilie Blaze stated, "We wanted this session to introduce ourselves to these elite women of power. We recognize that the topography is different in DC, and we want to accommodate these women and our designers want to accommodate them as well." There was a tremendous turnout to the event, with women of Washington's elite on hand, ranging from Janine and Karen Czarnecki from the Department of Labor to Melanie Sabelhaus, a partner at Superior Financial Group. "DC women have great style and taste," says Daisy Gallagher, CEO of Gallagher & Gallagher, Inc., an award winning marketing, branding and public relations firm. "These ladies need footwear that is at home either at a daytime meeting on the Hill or an evening event at the White House or Kennedy Center. These ladies prove that power and style is high on the radar of women in power within the DC business and social circles." The first Little Shoebox was founded in 2005 in Baltimore by former school teacher Janie Griffin, and at-home mother of four, Emilie Blaze. The store brought sophisticated, unique and gorgeous shoes to a fashion-conscious crowd with such lines as Bettye Muller, Delman, Anne Klein, Kors, Michael Kors, Etro, Missoni, Rafe, Hollywould, and many more. Janie and Emilie compare and contrast styles to assemble a truly unique collection of fabulous shoes.
