Whether it's a sweet treat, healthy breakfast or tasty afternoon snack, smoothie aficionados seeking a taste of fame are invited to share their favorite recipes for a chance to win $1,000 and have their creation featured in the Today's Special's section of Everyday Food magazine. To help select the winner, Sandy Gluck, food editor of Everyday Food, will lend her taste buds and expertise.

"A great recipe should not only taste good and look good, but also should be good for you, and Smoothies are a fun and delicious way to incorporate more milk into your diet and help get the recommended three glasses of lowfat or fat free milk a day," says Gluck.

Milk is packed with nine essential nutrients, including calcium and vitamin D. Plus, studies suggest the nutrients in three glasses a day of lowfat or fat free milk can help you maintain a healthy weight. And, the protein helps build muscle for a lean body. So, exercise, eat right and drink three glasses of lowfat or fat free milk a day to help you maintain a healthy weight.
