Gravel began her makeover on November 18 with a full spa treatment, including manicure and pedicure, at the Butterfly Studio Salon in New York. A professional makeup artist showed Gravel how to achieve the latest look for her face, while coloring technicians added highlights and depth to her hair. Finally, one of the studio's top stylists shortened and layered Gravel's hair to create a new, softer style with an eye on easy maintenance. After five hours of pampering, Gravel emerged with an entirely new look. Following the day at the salon, Gravel was treated to a $1,000 shopping spree at Bloomingdale's, including the services of her own personal shopper. "I was nervous when I saw them cutting off so much of my hair," said Gravel. "Between the new clothes and the new hair and makeup, I feel like a much hipper version of me."
