"People go to great lengths to keep proper shoes on their horse's hooves for trail riding and horsecamping. Yet forget to keep their own feet well shod," Bonnie Davis, owner of Two Horse Enterprises, stated. "At clinics or presentations when folks ask me what kind of boots I wear, I tell 'em Double-H Packers. They aren't a pull-on boot but a lace up packer. For the 20 plus years I've worn them, they've kept me from getting snake bite a couple times with their 10-inch tops, a few twisted ankles and prevented foot damage when my foot was in the same place my horse wanted to put his hoof!"

Double-H provides both boots and packers, men, women and kids. All are designed to provide comfortable foot wear and protection. "But for trails and camping, the Double H- Packers are my favorite. They provide good support, fit into a stirrup easily plus have a heel ridge that a spur will sit on. Some lace-ups don't have that heel ridge. If you wear spurs just once in awhile or all the time, without that ridge you're constantly trying to pull spurs back up on the heel." Davis stated.

Along with presenting clinics on "Horsecamping -- expanding your trail riding adventures" and workshops, "Economic Value of Trail Riders", throughout the nation, Davis also hosts trail rides and horsecamping events. August 11-17 will be the Second Annual California Trail Ride and Horsecamping Event.

According to Davis, "this year one of our demonstrations will be 'Shod Properly -- Horse & Rider'. It's important that we think not only about our horses' shoes but our shoes as well. Having sore feet out in the middle of nowhere is no fun and can cut your trail riding and horsecamping adventure in half.

"The old saying no hoof, no horse applies to riders as well. Bad shoes, sore feet! So at all my clinics, presentations, demonstrations and rides I've got my Packers on. They're good for working, riding, camping and going dancin' on Saturday night too!", Davis concluded.
