New Study Reveals Brits Prefer Curves to 'Size Zero'

LONDON, December 27/PRNewswire/ -- A new study by hair removal expert, Veet, reveals that British men and women prefer the shapely and curvaceous figures of Beyonce Knowles and Kate Winslet to the size zero frames of Kate Moss and Kiera Knightly.

The study - which concealed the faces of 50 female celebrities and asked 500 men and women to vote for their favourite celebrity legs - reveals that 21% of men prefer superstar Beyonce's shapely pins, while 29% of women polled British beauty Kate Winslet as their number one.

Strictly Come Dancing Star, Emma Bunton and The Holiday actress Kate Winslet took second and third place for the UK's male population with 17% and 15% of the votes respectively. Surprisingly, highly paid fashion icon Kate Moss only received 1% of men's votes for best legs, despite being well known for her model pins!

It's reassuring to know that when it comes to body types, men and women have very similar ideas of what's sexy and what's not. The majority of UK ladies would like to have Kate Winslet's legs with Emma Bunton's only slightly behind in second place with 16%. Beyonce takes third place with 15% of women envious of her legs. An expected favourite, Julia Roberts famous for those Pretty Women legs, only received 3% of the vote from women and fell into eighth place.

Sexologist Dr Stephanie Goodwin explains; "These findings are reassuring in that they support the traditional theory of attraction. Sexual theorists have shown that curvy women exude a natural confidence, making them very attractive to the opposite sex - but what's encouraging is that in the day of the 'size zero' this appreciation of a fuller figure also extends to females."
