We all get our fashion inspiration from somewhere. Whether it’s the runway, the red carpet or your favorite celebrity we all pull our looks from somewhere. Most people get their fashion ideas from celebrity photos in fashion magazines or on T.V. This season, trends are everywhere. Some are fabulous, while others should be left only to the celebrities who think they can pull them off.

A major new trend that all the celebrities are embracing is metallic clothing. Whether it’s an oversized handbag, fun jewelry or even an article of clothing, metal is everywhere. Fortunately, it looks great- if you do it right. There’s nothing wrong with a great shoe or a sexy silver top in an outfit. But if you’ve covered yourself head to toe in silver or gold, you’ve gone just a tad too far. Try using accents of metal in your wardrobe and you’ll be looking fabulous and style savvy.

Something else Hollywood is into this season is a short bib-front dress. While this look can be cute, it is unflattering on most women. This is because it draws a lot of attention to a women’s chest and hips. If you take a look at who is wearing this style, you’ll see it only looks decent on women who have tiny, girlish bodies. If you are well-endowed you would do well to stay away from this look.

A great look for almost all body-types is a hooded leather jacket. Celebrities such as Cameron Diaz and Rachel Bilson have been spotted wearing this new trend. The look is a bit rocker, but it’s very fun and great to go out to a club in.

Pastels are out, and saturated colors are in! Just because its spring doesn’t mean you have to look like an Easter egg. There are gorgeous purples and blues out there to be discovered and stars are making sure to wear them every chance they get. Wearing saturated colors is a great way to dress up an outfit to make it suitable for the office or for a night out.

If you live where it gets cold, a great trend for you is the wrap waist trench. These have become a must have for almost every celebrity out there. They come in all colors and prints to go with every outfit in your closet. These trenches are flattering for everyone and will keep you warm when you need it most. Some celebrities have even gone so far as just wearing the trench as a dress paired with some knee-high boots and an over-sized handbag.

Keep one eye in the fashion magazine this season and make sure you don’t take what the stars do too literally. Sometimes the only ones who can pull off a look like a bib dress are the stars themselves. But if you happen to see something fabulous like a great metallic purse, don’t be afraid to try something new!
