Home > Beauty & Fashion Articles Briggs & Riley Hosts The Hottest Celebrity Auction of The Summer To Benefit The JDRF
It's all part of the first annual Design For A Cure celebrity auction, which asked top stars to personalize a Briggs & Riley bag all to raise money to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF) in its mission of finding a cure for diabetes and its complications. For Jim Lahren, Director of Marketing at the company, the idea seemed like a natural way to boost the brand and expand the company's support of the JDRF in new and innovative ways. The idea also clicked with more than 20 top stars who participated, including Morgan Freeman, Kelly Ripa, Ray Romano, Jackie Mason, Tony Hawk, Jim Belushi, Leah Remini and many more. Each added his or her personal touch to a Briggs & Riley's 22" Baseline Carry-On UprightsŪ with distinctive artistry, decorative crafts, autographs and priceless memorabilia. These one-of-a-kind bags will be auctioned online starting June 14th at http://www.ebay.com/briggsriley. All proceeds will benefit the JDRF. June 14th also marks the kickoff press reception being held at the chic Grant Gallery in Soho at 6PM. All journalists are welcome to be the first to see the celebrity designed bags before the Gallery's public display, running through Saturday, June 16th.
