NEW YORK, June 5 /PRNewswire/ -- On Thursday June 1st 2006, Nak Armstrong and Anthony Camargo the design duo of Anthony Nak added to their impressive list of accolades for directional design receiving a double honor at the prestigious Town & Country 2006 Couture Design Awards at the Couture Jewellery Collection and Conference. The designers' stunning one-of-kind tanzanite cuff bracelet won the Platinum design category, as voted by Couture exhibitors and fine jewelry retailers, and they were also finalist for the coveted Couture Editor's Choice Award which they won in 2004.

This Award recognizes that Anthony and Nak continue to blaze a trail in innovative, fashion-forward jewelry design. Yet the story behind the Award-winning piece demonstrates that Anthony Nak is leading the industry with an ethical awareness that is as progressive as their trademark design aesthetic. The platinum tanzanite cuff is part of the new 12-piece Anthony Nak Tanzanite Collection, the first ever designer collection created in collaboration with the Tanzanite Foundation. The platinum tanzanite cuff bracelet is strikingly opulent, yet is textured with details that give it an earthy, organic feel. Entirely handcrafted in platinum wire, the piece was inspired by the vitality of nature. Stylized birchwood scrollwork with diamond pave twirls around a central channel of diamond beadmailing. A dramatic 16 carat tanzanite centrestone sits in a signature Anthony Nak setting of two ring frames latched together and etched to give a woodgrain texture.

The Tanzanite Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and promotion of ethically acquired tanzanite.
